Flipping February

It’s February…the hardest month in my calender. The dreary weather continues. This photo was taken yesterday on one of the only isolated clear bright beautiful days of the year. Tantalising me with the idea of spiring, before today, falling back into a languid state.

I can’t do anything in the garden. The weather keeps forcing me back into my house. I’m cooking and baking and just putting on weight! Help me!! I just want to feel that change in the air, that warmer breeze, that inspiration of being outdoors..and believe me…once the good weather comes, you will find me outdoors, in the garden, all day long! By Autumn people in the supermarket are asking me where i’ve been on holiday-to which i reply, my own garden!

Everyone is telling me that I need to just enjoy being in the home and completing tasks that need to be done inside. Its good advice, so I am taking hold of that and painting some old furniture to brighten things up.

I have also decided to try and earn a bit of money by ‘flipping’ furniture. Taking hold of some solid, but tired looking pieces and giving them an uplift.

In the meantime…here is my living room

Praying you can all find solace and peace in this trying time of year!
